Instant photography uses cameras that instantly print photos as soon as they’re taken, like a Polaroid. Unlike traditional digital photography, where photos need to be printed later, instant photos provide guests with a physical keepsake they can take home right away! At Instant Photo Chicago, we use Fujifilm Instax Mini cameras for vibrant, high-quality photos that guests will love.

2. How does your instant photo service work at events?

Our instant photographers capture special moments at your event using Fujifilm Instax Mini cameras. As soon as we take a photo, it’s instantly printed and handed to your guests—no waiting! Whether it's a wedding, corporate event, or birthday party, our instant photo service adds an extra element of fun and nostalgia to your celebration.

3. How much does instant event photography cost?

The cost of our instant event photography services varies depending on the event’s size, duration, and location. We offer several packages to suit different needs, starting at $300. Contact us for a custom quote tailored to your event!

4. Can I customize my event’s instant photo prints?

Yes! We offer customization options for your instant photos, including personalized logos, or messages on the prints. We prefer to discreetly put it on the back, but whether it's a wedding with your names and date or a corporate event with a brand logo, we’ll ensure the photos reflect your style and event theme.

6. How far in advance should I book your services?

We recommend booking our instant photography service at least 3–6 months in advance, especially during peak event seasons (spring, summer, and the holidays). However, we’re happy to accommodate last-minute bookings if we have availability.

7. Can guests keep their instant photos?

Absolutely! One of the best parts of our service is that guests get to take home their instant photos as a keepsake. Whether it's a wedding, birthday, or corporate event, your guests will cherish the memories they capture.

8. Do you provide digital copies of the photos?

Yes! For an extra upgrade to your album, we will digitalize each instant photo for you! This requires extra time offsite, so your album will be delivered to you up to 2-3 weeks after your event along with the digital copy. Photos given to guests at the event will not be digitized.

9. How many photos can we expect to receive during our event?

The number of photos we take depends on the length of your event and the package you choose. On average, you can expect 50 photos per hour. Our photographers are always ready to capture the best moments, ensuring everyone gets a photo to remember the event!

10. What cities do you offer event photography services in?

We provide instant event photography services in Chicago and the surrounding areas. If you're planning an event outside of our usual service areas, please get in touch—we may be able to accommodate your location for an additional fee.

11. Can you photograph large events or crowds?

Yes, we’re fully equipped to handle events of all sizes, from intimate gatherings to large corporate events and festivals. Please note that with the mini film size, group shots don’t work for groups of more than 10 people but our photographers can move through the crowd and make sure everyone has a fun, memorable photo.

12. Do you offer other photography services?

In addition to instant photography, we also offer headshots, portraits, and full event photography services, including professional digital and printed photo packages. If you need a photographer for the entire event, we can provide a customized quote to suit your needs.

13. What makes your instant photo service different from traditional photo booths?

Unlike traditional photo booths, which often use outdated, low-quality technology, our Fujifilm Instax Mini cameras deliver vibrant, high-quality instant prints that are smaller and more portable. Plus, we provide a personal touch by allowing your guests to interact directly with the photographer, capturing spontaneous, candid moments throughout the event.

14. Are the instant photos waterproof or smudge-proof?

Yes! Our Fujifilm Instax Mini photos are made from high-quality material that is resistant to water and smudging, ensuring your guests’ photos stay looking great for years to come.
